The annual Scarboro Missions Lecture serves as a premier annual forum for exploring the intersections of faith, justice, and interreligious dialogue. Established to honour the legacy of the Scarboro Missions Society, this event brings together world-renowned scholars to bridge the gap between academic research and lived pastoral reality.
2026 Scarboro Missions Lecture: “Our Common Home”

Join us for this year’s annual Scarboro Missions lecture featuring Dr. Farhana Mayer, a Qur’anic Hermeneutics scholar from the Laudato Si’ Research Institute (Campion College, Oxford), and Fr. Roberto Jaramillo, SJ, Secretary for Social Justice and Ecology. They will share perspectives on the stewardship of our common home from their respective faith traditions, each offering a 20-minute presentation. The evening will conclude with an engaging Q&A
session and a light reception.
